Odor, Smoke, Bio Hazard & Trauma Clean Up
Proudly Serving Polk, Osceola, Orange and Lake Counties
Severe odors from fire and smoke damage require a variety of professional products, systems and specialty equipment to remove. Often multiple treatments are necessary during the restoration process. ServiceMaster Restore® has a large selection of systems, deodorizers and equipment to remove a wide range of odors. Some treatments may require the removal of pets, plants and human occupants for a short period of time for their protection. Here is a sample of the odor control treatments we provide:
Air scrubbers for smoke and/or odor
Smoke and odor particles continue to be airborne many days after the fire has stopped. Air scrubbers use high efficiency air filtration (HEPA) to remove these particles from the air, enhancing the efficiency of cleaning and clearing the air for safe breathing. They also keep airborne construction dust to a minimum.
Thermal Fogging
A strong deodorizer that penetrates everywhere the smoke traveled to neutralize odor. This process, if used, will require the removal of pets, plants and human occupants for a short period of time
Ozone
An oxidizing agent produced by a portable ozone generator. This process, if used, will require the removal of pets, plants and human occupants for a short period of time

Odor/Smoke Damage can stay in almost everything.

BIOHAZARD & TRAUMA CLEAN UP.
As an industry, cleaning companies are numerous, well advertised and extremely competitive. Yet as a defined service within this industry, it is rare to find any companies that provide trauma restoration services. The obvious reason for this is because so few people actually want to be involved with this specialized type of work. Because of this, families are forced to handle the cleanup themselves. Consequently, it is often handled badly or illegally.
Our community landfills are common dumping grounds for infectious and contaminated waste that should never have ended up there. We also find that law enforcement agencies do not maintain listings of companies that perform trauma restoration. Comments from officials around the country reinforce the fact that friends and family members of victims routinely have to deal with the cleanup themselves. Neighbors comment that they “have no idea how the house got back to normal. It seemed to happen by magic.” The family handled it because they didn’t know about us. We at ServiceMaster Restore intend to fill this void.

Sofas, chairs are in constant use and can show soil and dirt quickly. Although not often visible to the naked eye, upholstery collects contaminants such as dead skin cells, oils and dust that can only be removed with a thorough professional cleaning.
Upholstered items also come in a variety of fabrics, textures and blends. It can be difficult for an untrained cleaner to look at the upholstery and know the right cleaning method. ServiceMaster Restore® upholstery experts eliminate the guesswork and select the best cleaning method for your upholstery and its condition, utilizing equipment created to remove the most soil possible.
When cleaning upholstery, our technicians use specially designed products, equipment and methods to achieve the best results.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
TIPS
Keeping your upholstery looking its best.
• Avoid direct sunlight. Modern furniture fabrics are usually very resilient to sunlight. However, under extreme exposure, even these fabrics show signs of fading.
• Vacuum often. Upholstered furniture should be vacuumed on a regular basis to remove dust and loose dirt.
• When trying to clean up a spill, it’s best to blot instead of rub and work from the edges of a spot to the center. Both techniques have been known to prevent spreading.
